On May 29, 2026, Dr. Tingsong CHEN, who earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from The University of Osaka in September 2023 and is currently working at the DX Promotion Group, Innovation Department, ICT Management Center of Okumura Corporation, received the 2026 Maeda Engineering Award from the Maeda Engineering Foundation. The Maeda Engineering Award recognizes outstanding doctoral dissertations that demonstrate academic excellence, social significance, and practical value, with the aim of promoting fundamental research and fostering young researchers in Japan. Dr. CHEN was honored in the i-Construction category for his doctoral dissertation: “Improving the Safety of Construction Site Personnel Using Multi-Sensor Data Fusion.” All members warmly congratulate Dr. CHEN on this prestigious achievement and wish him continued success in his future endeavors.
